Testimonial

I have tried to learn meditation at various times throughout my life.

A class here and there, but never found time to sustain it as a practice. Life got in the way. Other demands on my time. I have come to a stage in my life, where I don’t filter the stresses in life as well as my younger years. I decided mediation was a good tool for my future years, and what challenges might lie ahead. India’s classes were over and above my expectations. From the moment I met her, the care she took to arrange the room for our comfort, the hot herbal tea on arrival, the notes carefully written and provided in our own folder. Her teachings, the practice education, her personal interest in our Journey, and her sincere desire to enrich our lives with this ancient tool – gives me every reason to recommend India and her classes to everyone.

This is what she is meant to do!

Thank you India

Russell Brand on Yoga, Meditation and Humanity

Russell Brand has recently burst onto the activist and consciousness scene with his interview on BBC a few months ago. Since then, he has been speaking out against many of the injustices that have been plaguing the world from wealth inequality to political corruption.

Many people who are pop-culture followers have little-to-no knowledge about the many problems the world faces; which is why it’s so important for celebrities to leave the dark side and help us make the world a better place. From Matt Damon to Rob Schneider, these celebrities help us reach new audiences with the message of truth and freedom and for that, we thank them.  It’s cool to see mainstream celebrities use the platforms they have been given to awaken the minds of humanity.  There truly is a spiritual and political revolution going on right now.

Here’s an eye opening video of Russell Brand that you don’t want to miss.

Participating in the Faith, Hope & Healing Meditation course with India, has given me an opportunity to take a step back and reflect on my life journey. It has helped me to become calmer, more open and identify key goals – while accepting current changes. I have been able to mindfully establish priorities and think more clearly about what is truly important in my life – with my work, my family and the community. Thank you, India – and my daughter, Lainie, for making the connection – and adding value to my life.

Young Women’s Cancer Support Group

Are you a young woman experiencing a Cancer diagnosis? Or do you know of a friend or family member who could benefit through joining a Cancer Support Group?

If you’re facing a Cancer diagnosis, you don’t have to go it alone. A support group can help.

Cancer Support groups bring together people facing similar issues and challenges.

Members of support groups often share experiences and advice. It can be helpful just getting to talk with other people who are in the same situation.

While not everyone wants or needs support beyond that offered by family and friends, you may find it helpful to turn to others outside your immediate circle. Sometimes it can be difficult to discuss certain issues with family and friends for fear of worrying them, therefore talking with strangers can be extremely cathartic.

A support group shouldn’t replace your standard medical care, but it can be a valuable resource to help you cope.Research tells us that people who attend a Support Group have far better health outcomes.

In a support group, you’ll find people with problems similar to yours. Members of a support group usually share their personal experiences and offer one another emotional comfort and moral support. They may also offer practical advice and tips to help you cope with your situation.

Benefits of participating in support groups may include:

  • Feeling less lonely, isolated or judged
  • Gaining a sense of empowerment and control
  • Improving coping skills and giving a sense of adjustment
  • Talking openly and honestly about your feelings
  • Reducing distress, depression, anxiety or fatigue
  • Developing a clearer understanding of what to expect with your situation
  • Getting practical advice or information about treatment options
  • Comparing notes about resources, such as doctors and alternative options

Faith Hope & Healing offer 5 spaces for Young Women to express their feelings and share valuable information with each other. We also have other Cancer Support Groups available eg Men’s groups, Secondary Cancers etc.

The sessions are “by donation” and will also offer tea and cake and a short meditation. For more information please contact India on 0400 401 028 or email india_wallace@bigpond.com.1009957_977171715629967_2776426536776895107_n
