About India Wallace
Hello and welcome, thank you for taking the time to be here.
I specialise in the area of Cancer, but also work with many others who just like you and I, face a myriad of life obstacles.
We cannot be immune to the challenges of life, but we can learn to train our mind to assist us in leading a life of purpose and genuine happiness.
This is my story….
After a Breast Cancer diagnosis in 2003, I chose Surgery, Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy. Pathology revealed an aggressive stage 3 “Triple Negative” tumour that had travelled to my lymph and entered my blood system.
Working in a fast-paced media career; stress, sleep deprivation and an unhealthy diet overloaded me.
Breast Cancer became my wake-up call. I used it as an opportunity to explore, heal and make changes to my life for myself and my teenage daughter.
The approach I took was simple. I changed everything!
Beginning with diet and workload, I took a holistic approach to treatment. Meditation and spiritual practice became a daily event.
Through research, I found many amazing complementary therapies and practitioners. These modalities helped assist my body during difficult medical treatments. I also worked with on my emotional body, opening and addressing old wounds.
For a few years, I focused on healing and delving deep into my spiritual practice. My life and health continued to improve. For the first time in many years, I actually felt I was “living” instead of “existing”. The fear of death diminished.
My life began to change and has continued to, in ways I could have never imagined to be possible. I attribute these changes to my spiritual and meditation practice and in many ways to the cancer diagnosis. I was not “awake” before I had cancer.
Earlier in 2004, I had become an advocate for BCNA (Breast Cancer National Australia). I attended and spoke at many media events, encountering the suffering of others. This ignited a deep empathy and compassion within me that led me to become a therapist.
In 2015 I completed a Counselling course at AIPC (Australian Institute of Professional Counselling), along with many other courses in Palliative Care. I volunteered at the Cancer Care Centre as a Counsellor. This was the beginning of “Faith Hope & Healing.”
In 2017 I felt the Cancer was returning. I had no physical symptoms; it was pure intuition. During my annual breast check, my surgeon assured me” there was nothing to be concerned about”. A biopsy was performed, and the pathology tests returned as negative.
I wasn’t convinced. Intuitively, I knew it was there, but I was not feeling anxious about it and decided to wait until the following year to repeat the process.
This time the biopsies revealed cancerous cells. This made my decision for a Bilateral Mastectomy and Reconstruction. As I had discovered these cells so early, no treatment was required.
It was during this time I was fortunate to meet Dr Quoc Lam. During the 18-month reconstruction procedure, Quoc offered me a room at his practice in December 2019.
It is crucial that we listen to medical recommendations, but remaining calm, and centred allows us to listen to the wisdom of our bodies. My intuition saved my life. If I had waited and not been assertive, my prognosis may have been an entirely different story.
We all have intuition, but to access it, we must learn to step out of chaos and learn to be still and listen. I can teach you and encourage you to become your own best therapist.
Is my story perhaps not too different from your own?
If you would like to share your story with me, I am an excellent listener.
If you are ready to work through challenging times and life events, I would be privileged to assist you.
Over the last 17 years, I have gained a wealth of knowledge from my Buddhist study, many courses, from my clients, and support groups. I’m also able to refer to many other beautiful practitioners who have greatly benefitted me and others along the journey.
I hope to hear from you soon.

Testimonials
India entered my life just by chance when she was volunteering at the Cancer Care Centre.
It was the most frightening and uncertain time in my life.
Since that day, through her genuine loving kindness, compassion and understanding she became a vital pillar in my healing. Her reliable presence, when others fade away, never leaves you feeling alone.
She makes you believe in angels. I think she is one.
The course was a wonderful experience. Apart from finally being able to meditate (after trying
for years on & off and failing), the whole experience was more enjoyable, relaxing & positive
than I expected.
India is a natural! She is warm, calm and so beautiful in her approach, enabling you to relax,
learn & develop in your practice. She gives off such a compassionate, gentle vibe that you can’t help being positively affected by it!
The room is welcoming, comfy and relaxing- you’re greeted by herbal tea, notes & a calm, safe environment . It was a pleasure to attend each week and I’ll miss our little group. I would encourage anyone who wants more peace in their life to try this course.
I have tried to learn meditation at various times throughout my life. A class here and there, but never found time to sustain it as a practice.
Life got in the way. Other demands on my time.
I have come to a stage in my life, where I don’t filter the stresses in life as well as my younger years. I decided mediation was a good tool for my future years, and what challenges might lie ahead.
India’s classes were over and above my expectations.
From the moment I met her, the care she took to arrange the room for our comfort, the hot herbal tea on arrival, the notes carefully written and provided in our own folder.
Her teachings, the practice education, her personal interest in our Journey, and her sincere desire to enrich our lives with this ancient tool – gives me every reason to recommend India and her classes to everyone.
This is what she is meant to do.
Thank you India
Meeting India has been a really lovely experience – her warm, calm and caring nature has inspired me to commit myself to becoming less anxious, more focused and mindful and to dedicate part of every day to entering that ‘domain of deep natural peace’ which she has shown me.
Thank you India for teaching me to ‘be’ with myself and providing me with new skills to help me behave in a more mindful manner. Your course has not only taught me how to meditate, but I have also become a more appreciative and aware person. I am far more conscious of everyone’s desire for the same thing – happiness. This awareness makes it far easier to give both myself and others a break, because at the end of the day we are all seeking happiness in one form or another, and we are all going about it in the best way we know how to.
Having just completed a Learn to Meditate course as part of a small group with India I found the course to be personal and meaningful. The atmosphere and energy was very calming, supportive and positive – which I think is a reflection of India’s warm and engaging teaching style – I really appreciated your support, gentle guidance and positivity during the course creating a lovely group dynamic which allowed things to unfold at the right pace- thank you!
Participating in the Faith, Hope & Healing Meditation course, with India, has given me an opportunity to take a step back and reflect on my life journey. It has helped me to become calmer, more open and identify key goals – while accepting current changes. I have been able to mindfully establish priorities and think more clearly about what is truly important in my life – with my work, my family and the community. Thank you, India – and my daughter, Lainie, for making the connection – and adding value to my life.
India you have helped me so much and I will be forever grateful for the lessons I have learnt about myself. I now have an amazing sense of my self worth.
